Rwanda AgriTech Hub connects smallholder farmers with agricultural extension officers, modern farming techniques, and market opportunities. With 800+ farmers across 45 cooperatives and 15 extension officers, coordinating training sessions, farm visits, and harvest coordination was becoming increasingly complex.
The Challenge
Extension officers were overwhelmed trying to manage their schedules, track which farmers needed specific training, and coordinate group activities across different cooperatives. Farmers often missed critical training sessions because of miscommunication. The hub had no clear data on which interventions were most effective or which farmers were adopting new techniques.
The Solution
The hub deployed Taskmate to create an organized system for extension services. They built workflows for scheduling farm visits, coordinating training sessions, tracking farmer adoption of new techniques, and managing harvest collection logistics. Extension officers could finally prioritize their work based on farmer needs and seasonal requirements.
