Uganda Youth Empowerment Initiative (UYEI) runs vocational training programs for disadvantaged youth across multiple districts. With over 500 students enrolled across 18 different programs—from tailoring to carpentry to digital skills—tracking individual progress and coordinating with 20+ trainers was becoming unmanageable.
The Challenge
UYEI struggled with inconsistent reporting from different training centers. Student progress was tracked in different formats, making it difficult to identify which students needed additional support. Trainers often worked in isolation, missing opportunities to share resources or best practices. The organization had no clear view of program completion rates until months after sessions ended.
The Solution
UYEI deployed Taskmate to create a unified system for managing all training programs. They built standardized workflows for student enrollment, progress tracking, trainer coordination, and partner communication. Each training center could see what others were doing, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
